A Coastal Home Reimagined for Full-Time Living & Entertaining
For a wine and spirits executive and her husband, this Aptos beach house wasn't just a weekend retreat-it's their full-time home. They envisioned a light-filled space that embraced ocean views, felt casual yet refined, and allowed them to entertain with ease.
The original layout was dark and cramped, cutting off the beauty of the coastal surroundings. By removing interior walls and enlarging the patio doors, we opened the main living area to stunning views and natural light. The reimagined kitchen features a spacious island with an induction cooktop, plus a custom buffet with a built-in wine refrigerator-ideal for entertaining and showcasing their curated collection.
A redesigned gas fireplace creates a cozy focal point for evening gatherings, where guests and their three Australian shepherds feel equally at home. This transformation balances polished design with laid-back coastal comfort-elegant, warm, and perfect for everyday living.
